From time to time I sit there
reflecting on past experiences
how they led me to this moment
i’m recognising all the differences
I’m not a regretful person
everything happens for a reason
and everything teaches us something
Even if it only matters for a season
Nothing truly lasts forever
and we only notice when it’s gone
but happy is a state of mind
there is no one else you can depend on
